Setting-out Engineer

A leading main building contractor is seeking a Setting-out Engineer to join their team for a prestigious hospitality project located in County Clare, Ireland. Key Responsibilities

• Perform setting-out activities accurately on site.
• Manage subcontractors efficiently to ensure smooth workflow.
• Supervise various trades and contractor teams during site works.
• Maintain rigorous health and safety standards throughout the project.
• Review plans and drawings thoroughly to verify precise calculations.
• Ensure that the materials used and work completed comply with contractual specifications.
• Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and professional personnel.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of two years' experience in setting-out on building projects within Ireland or the UK.
• A degree qualification in Construction or Civil Engineering at Level 8 or an equivalent standard.
• Demonstrated strong experience in setting-out techniques.
• Ready to undertake travel as part of the job requirements.
• Possession of a valid Safe Pass.
• Proficiency with robotic Total Stations, Electronic Distance Measurement instruments, and GPS equipment to carry out precise set-out tasks.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range between €60,000 and €65,000.
