Job Overview
Are you a motivated and reliable individual seeking a stable career with advancement opportunities? Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) invites you to join their team as a Service Technician specializing in bus cleaning and facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Refuel and clean buses regularly to maintain operational standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of division facilities including bathrooms, common areas, and lawns.
- Relocate buses to designated bays or guide them through the wash rack as required.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the foreperson to support daily operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess at least two consecutive years of driving experience with a valid New York State Class D (standard) driver's license.
- Hold a clean and valid driver’s license without significant violations such as excessive speeding tickets, DWI, DUI, or DWAI offenses.
- Willingness to obtain a CDL-B permit and license after employment begins.
- Availability to work evening (2nd/3rd) shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage: $22.39 per hour
- Maximum wage: $26.33 per hour after 1.5 years of continuous service
