Role Overview

The Service Technician role involves performing mechanical repairs on washers and dryers at various customer sites including apartments, laundromats, hotels, and athletic facilities. The technician ensures equipment functions smoothly by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machines independently, applying strong mechanical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, disassemble, repair, and reassemble washers and dryers on location.
• Adjust mechanical components such as pulleys and motors, replace faulty parts, and lubricate moving components.
• Clean appliance parts and notify dispatch about equipment needing replacement.
• Drive company vehicle to service locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge or training.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent customer service capabilities.
• Proficiency in English communication; bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
• Valid driving record.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds routinely and move heavy items using a dolly or hand truck.
• Previous experience repairing washers and dryers preferred.

Compensation

The estimated pay range is $20.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Actual wages may vary based on factors such as education, training, and responsibilities.
