About the Role

Leo Chevrolet in Indianapolis is seeking a diligent Service Porter to support the service department’s daily operations. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the automotive industry by assisting with vehicle movement, customer interaction, lot maintenance, and shop organization. Many current service technicians, advisors, and managers at the company advanced through this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport customer vehicles between service lanes, the parking lot, and wash bay.
• Welcome service customers and guide them upon arrival.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service drive, workshop, and lot.
• Provide shuttle services for customers as needed.
• Wash and vacuum vehicles post-service completion.
• Perform errands across various departments or locations.
• Contribute to a safe and professional environment within and around the shop.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable operating different types of vehicles including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
• Physical ability to work on feet and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Dependability to be present during scheduled hours.
• Positive attitude and readiness to assist in diverse tasks.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

What You Do Not Need

• Prior automotive experience.
• Formal education or degree.
