Role Overview
The Service Operator role involves visiting multiple client sites each day to fully stock and hygienically maintain coffee and vending machines, ensuring they are optimized for maximum sales. Operators also serve as friendly, professional points of contact for clients during their visits.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain all vending machines by refilling stock and cleaning to company standards consistently.
- Manage stock levels and cash control processes for the machines and company vehicles.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues such as cup jams or blocked mixing bowls, reporting faults promptly to the Service Desk.
- Report customer complaints, accidents, or unfit food items to the Area Manager or Service Desk on the day of the incident.
- Provide training to new team members and support current staff requiring skill upgrades to maintain service quality.
- Ensure courteous, high-level customer service at all times during client interactions.
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks on Retail Merchandisers' machines as directed by the Area Retail Manager, reporting actions needed to both the Retail Merchandiser and Area Manager.
- Identify and report machines not meeting hygiene standards set by the Automatic Vending Association to the Area Manager.
