Service Engineer

About the Role

Aaroj Machines is seeking a skilled and dependable Service Engineer to manage the installation, commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of industrial machinery at various client sites. The role demands familiarity with machine mechanisms and prompt technical support delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and commission machines at customer facilities.
• Conduct servicing and routine preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Minimize machine downtime by troubleshooting breakdowns.
• Interpret basic mechanical and electrical schematics and manuals.
• Inspect machine parts including sensors, motors, and drives.
• Replace and adjust components as needed.
• Offer technical assistance and guidance to customers.
• Document all service activities accurately.
• Liaise with internal production, design, and technical teams for complex problems.
• Perform machine demonstrations and provide basic operator training.
• Adhere to safety protocols both internally and at customer sites.
• Travel to different customer locations as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 1 to 3 years experience.
• Completed ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Fitter, Machinist, or Electronics fields; Diplomas with relevant experience considered.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiar with machines, tools, and measuring equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting and independent working ability.
• Proficient with hand tools and maintenance devices.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Readiness to travel for service assignments.
• A positive, proactive attitude to learn new machinery and technology.

Preferred Experience

• Service and maintenance of industrial machinery.
• Experience with CNC or automation equipment.
• Machine installation and setup expertise.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Electrical panel troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with motors, sensors, and drives.
• Hands-on experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Industrial equipment upkeep.
