About the Company
Proto Business Solutions is seeking a skilled Service Engineer specialized in Fire Alarm and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems to join their team based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This is a field-oriented role requiring direct involvement at client sites.
Job Summary
The role entails installation, testing, commissioning, and routine maintenance of Fire Alarm and Public Address (PA) systems at various client locations. The selected candidate will utilize their technical aptitude and extensive field experience to ensure efficient operation and safety compliance of these systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission Fire Alarm and PA systems efficiently.
- Identify and rectify issues in fire alarm panels, detectors, manual call points (MCPs), hooters, speakers, amplifiers, and related hardware.
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergency breakdowns within stipulated time frames.
- Conduct regular inspections ensuring all systems align with safety protocols and project specifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance and resolve technical difficulties encountered at client premises.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Fire Alarm and ELV systems and their practical applications.
- Competency in installation, testing, and commissioning procedures.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on relevant systems and equipment.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance operations.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients in a field service environment.
Additional Information
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Fire Alarm/ELV system servicing.
- A diploma qualification is the minimum educational requirement.
- This position is restricted to male applicants only.
- Possession of a personal two-wheeler is mandatory due to the field nature of the job.
- Allowance is provided for petrol and travel expenses.
Compensation
The monthly remuneration falls between ₹35,000 and ₹45,000, inclusive of petrol and travel allowances.
