About the Role
This position involves performing essential underground infrastructure and support functions that are critical to keeping mine operations safe and efficient. Responsibilities include the installation and upkeep of ventilation, water, power, compressed air, and pump systems within the mine. The role requires hands-on involvement and a fast-paced work environment, with a preference for operators who demonstrate pride in their work, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Work Schedule and Location
- Fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) from Perth
- Rotating roster consisting of 8/6 days and 7/7 nights shifts at Granny Smith mine

Experience and Qualifications
- Prior underground mining experience specifically as a Nipper and Truck Driver
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach
- Good physical fitness with experience working in demanding environments
- Possession of a current manual driver's license
- Valid Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights certification
- Ability to provide a clear National Police Clearance
Key Duties
- Installing and maintaining essential underground services including ventilation, water, power, compressed air, and pumps
- Operating equipment such as elevated work platforms (EWPs), industrial traction cars (ITCs), light vehicles, and hydraulic machinery to support mine operations
- Carrying out inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and manage risks
- Collaborating with development and production crews to aid safe and efficient mining activities
