Senior Workato Developer

About the Role

We seek an accomplished Senior Workato Developer with at least a decade of professional experience in software development and enterprise-level system integrations. This position entails crafting scalable integration solutions connecting various business applications and environments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Architect and implement advanced enterprise integrations utilizing Workato platform.
• Develop, test, deploy, and support Workato workflows, recipes, and integration processes.
• Create integrations leveraging REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, JSON, XML, OAuth protocols, and authentication schemes.
• Integrate platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Workday, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, various databases, and bespoke applications.
• Design reusable components including connectors, callable recipes, error handling frameworks, and standardized integration patterns.
• Translate both business needs and technical requirements into robust and scalable integration designs.
• Conduct troubleshooting, root cause diagnostics, performance tuning, and provide ongoing production support.
• Establish and enforce best practices around integration architecture, including security, monitoring, logging, and error management.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, system architects, developers, QA personnel, and key stakeholders.
• Engage in architectural reviews and offer strategic technical advice to development teams.
• Review code and design, offering mentorship to junior and mid-level colleagues.
• Manage and oversee deployment processes through development, QA, UAT, and production stages.
• Document technical workflows, integration specifications, data mapping, and support procedures.
• Ensure conformance with enterprise-level security, compliance, scalability, and reliability standards.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in software development or middleware/integration solutions.
• Proven proficiency working with Workato and enterprise integration tools.
• Strong expertise in REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, JSON, XML, HTTP protocols, and secure API authentication.
• Proficient in SQL and database interactions.
• Deep understanding of integration architecture frameworks and design patterns.
• Experience with SaaS and on-premises enterprise application integration.
• Familiarity with ETL, data transformation, and synchronization methodologies.
• Sound knowledge of SDLC methodologies, Agile/Scrum workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and version/release controls.
• Excellent analytical capabilities alongside effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workato certification credentials are advantageous.
• Experience creating custom connectors for Workato platform.
• Exposure to API Management solutions and other enterprise integration platforms.
• Understanding of cloud platform integration services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Workday, NetSuite, or comparable systems.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and automated deployment techniques.
• Leadership experience in managing integration projects or technical teams.

Educational Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative discipline is required.
