Role Overview

The Senior Video Editor role, based on-site in Doha, Qatar, involves comprehensive management of the post-production lifecycle from initial rough cuts through to polished final outputs. Key duties encompass compiling and editing video footage, enhancing narrative coherence, synchronizing audio tracks and music, and performing color grading to uphold a uniform visual style. This position requires creating motion graphics and incorporating visual components such as titles, lower thirds, and overlays aligned with storytelling objectives and brand standards. Close cooperation with directors, producers, and creative personnel is critical, as is contributing to shot selection discussions and advancing editorial workflows. Additionally, the role includes mentoring less experienced editors and ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality benchmarks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Expertise in video production and editing, demonstrating capability in managing complete post-production workflows.
• Proficiency in video color grading to maintain aesthetic uniformity and cinematic enhancement.
• Experience crafting motion graphics and graphical elements including titles and lower thirds to complement narrative themes.
• Advanced command over leading editing and grading software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or equivalents.
• A proven portfolio featuring edited videos across commercial, corporate, or narrative projects.
• Strong editorial instincts related to pacing, rhythm, and storytelling, complemented by meticulous quality control.
• Ability to operate effectively on-site in Doha while collaborating across disciplines and managing concurrent deadlines.
• Relevant academic credentials or comparable professional experience in film, media production, or related areas.
