Job description
Overview
PhotonX Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Video Editor to become a key member of their creative team based in Hyderabad. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years in professional video editing and demonstrate a strong talent for visual storytelling, pacing, and detail-oriented editing suited to digital, social, and commercial video content.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform raw video footage into polished, engaging videos suitable for social media, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Collaborate closely with creative and marketing teams to grasp project objectives and ensure consistent brand alignment.
- Incorporate motion graphics, visual effects, and smooth transitions to enhance the narrative impact.
- Apply color correction and grading, as well as audio mixing and sound design, to elevate the video quality.
- Create initial rough cuts and finalize edits integrating stakeholder feedback to refine the final product.
- Manage several projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Keep project assets, including footage and media files, organized and accessible.
- Ensure finished videos comply with technical requirements for distribution platforms such as YouTube and Instagram.
- Stay current with emerging editing trends, styles, and technologies to bring fresh ideas to projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in professional video editing roles.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects and/or DaVinci Resolve is essential.
- Excellent understanding of pacing, visual composition, and storytelling techniques.
- Experience in color grading and foundational audio mixing and sound design.
- Ability to independently manage multiple editing projects under deadline-driven conditions.
- Strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work is mandatory for application.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with motion graphics or 2D animation.
- Knowledge of vertical and short-form video formats like Reels and Shorts.
- Basic understanding of shooting and camera operations.

Salary: ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 per month.
