Senior Threat Intelligence Consultant

About the Role

As a senior member of the Operational Threat Intelligence team based in Manchester, you will report directly to the Principal Threat Intelligence Consultant. Your responsibilities include analyzing cyber threat trends and critical incidents, producing actionable intelligence, and collaborating extensively with various internal teams. You will lead the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Threat Pulse Reports and drive improvements in the team's intelligence capabilities. Additionally, you will provide mentoring and development support to junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive analysis of cyber threats such as malware, vulnerabilities, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Monitor emerging threats, industry developments, and geopolitical influences to deliver timely, pertinent intelligence.
• Coordinate and contribute to the generation of periodic threat landscape reports and tailor reports for clients as needed.
• Produce detailed, actionable intelligence reports that cater to both technical and non-technical audiences for informed decision-making.
• Oversee the quality assurance and production standards of all threat intelligence outputs produced by the team.
• Foster collaboration within internal departments and external partners, including participation in information-sharing communities to maintain awareness of the evolving threat landscape.
• Serve as principal liaison between clients and the team, managing deliverable quality, resolving escalations, and occasionally delivering presentations on client-specific threat environments.
• Manage and refine threat intelligence platforms and tools to improve analytical productivity.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to enhance their threat analysis skills and improve report writing quality.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree-level qualification in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a similar relevant discipline.
• Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks within a dynamic setting.
• Commitment to continuous learning to stay abreast of evolving cyber threats.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork and communication.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication competence, able to explain complex topics clearly.
• Solid knowledge of cyber threat landscapes, attack methods, and mitigation techniques.
• Prior experience as a threat intelligence analyst or in a related capacity.
• Understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and subdomains.
• Experience using Threat Intelligence Platforms such as OpenCTI.
