Senior Technology Associate

We are partnering with a prestigious Top 50 UK law firm headquartered in Bristol, seeking a seasoned Technology Senior Associate with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). This role offers a broad and dynamic portfolio involving technology law, data protection, AI, digital transformation, and commercial matters.

Role Responsibilities

• Advise on a wide variety of technology issues, including data protection, ePrivacy, technology procurement, outsourcing, and software licensing.
• Manage digital transformation initiatives and commercial collaborations.
• Work with cutting-edge areas such as cyber security, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence.
• Engage with clients across multiple sectors, including financial services, energy, transport, defense, retail, healthcare, and real estate.
• Collaborate closely with partners and senior lawyers in client relationship management.
• Mentor and support junior team members to aid their professional development.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 7 years PQE or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in technology law areas such as commercial contracts, data protection, outsourcing, procurement, software licensing, digital advisory, and cyber law.
• Strong expertise in data protection is highly desirable.
• Capable of handling complex and diverse caseloads with a pragmatic commercial mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Interest in expanding expertise in AI, innovation, and digital technology consulting.
