Senior Technical Trainer - Automation & Mechatronics

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Technical Trainer specialized in Automation and Mechatronics, with 3 to 12 years of relevant experience. This role involves leading the creation, execution, and standardization of hands-on training sessions focusing on industrial automation, fluid power, and robotics applications. The trainer will mentor junior staff and maintain consistent quality across multiple locations.

Key Duties

• Develop and regularly update curriculum, lab exercises, and assessments covering Pneumatics, Electro-Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electro-Hydraulics, Sensorics, Siemens S7-1200 PLCs, HMI, SCADA using WinCC, and advanced robotics/cobot systems.
• Deliver intermediate to advanced training courses, including Advanced PLC programming, Process Automation, Industrial Robots with Vision systems, Electro-Hydraulics, and Smart Sensorics.
• Conduct cross-technology training for integrated systems featuring Cartesian and Articulated robot cells, multi-brand PLC mechatronics stations, and process automation trainer kits.
• Ensure SOP adherence, safety compliance, and standardized training quality across three locations by auditing sessions and coaching junior trainers.
• Manage hardware labs by commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic kits, motor drives (DC, AC, Stepper, Servo), PLC/HMI devices, and SCADA software licenses.
• Mentor junior technical trainers in instructional methods, troubleshooting, and effective learner engagement, certifying them to teach basic modules independently.
• Create practical assessments, monitor skill acquisition, and provide performance reports to management.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on proficiency with Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Electro-Fluid Power technologies.
• Experienced PLC programmer with mandatory expertise in Siemens S7-1200 and familiarity with other PLC brands.
• Competent in HMI design such as Exor eSmart10 and SCADA implementations like Simatic WinCC.
• Knowledge of industrial robotics including Cartesian and Articulated robots, and cobot vision integration.
• Understanding of motor and drive technology – DC, AC, Stepper, Servo types.
• Capability to interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics and resolve hardware issues independently.
• Familiar with process automation loops and instrumentation systems.
