Job description

Company and Role Overview

We are revolutionizing one of Europe's largest and most heavily regulated sectors — the packaging industry, which holds a market volume of several hundred billion euros and faces significant pressures from new regulations such as PPWR, EUDR, EPR, and CSRD. Our product, Packa, is the first comprehensive SaaS platform designed for intelligent packaging management, enjoying strong demand, solid funding, and rapid growth.

What Awaits You

  • Creative autonomy: Collaborate closely with Packa's leadership team with genuine influence from the start.
  • Ownership: Join a driven, diverse, and successful team, enjoying substantial freedom and responsibility from day one.
  • Hybrid work setup: Work at our excellent office located in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.
  • Leadership: Be part of a visionary company led by experienced founders and backed by top-tier investors.
  • Appreciation and growth: We offer fair compensation and clear career progression pathways.

Main Responsibilities

As the Technical Product Manager specializing in Integrations and Data, you will oversee Packa's integration layer and data backbone, connecting customer ERP and PIM systems to our internal data warehouse. Your role includes:

  • Driving the roadmap and strategic vision for our Integrations & Data domain, setting both long-term direction and quarterly objectives.
  • Designing the functional architecture of our integration ecosystem, including the flow of data into customer systems with multi-tenancy and role-based permissions.
  • Translating client integration needs into precise product specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, collaborating closely with engineering leadership on technical direction.
  • Owning our internal data backbone, overseeing warehouse architecture, ingestion pipelines, data contracts between product and analytics, and monitoring data freshness and quality service level objectives.
  • Participating in integration and scoping discussions with client IT and procurement teams, evaluating feasibility during sales and onboarding while challenging non-scalable requirements.
  • Establishing and tracking key performance indicators for integration success such as time to go-live, error rates, connector adoption, data quality, and partner satisfaction.
  • Enhancing developer and partner experience by defining API design principles, versioning strategy, public documentation, and sandbox environments.
  • Working closely with Customer Success to align on integration workflows, including scoping templates, handover procedures, post-launch monitoring, and escalation processes.
  • Coordinating with Regulatory and Workflow Product Managers on shared data needs, for example relating to material and recyclability data (PPWR) and workflow automation handoffs.

Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years having full ownership over integrations, API, or data products.
  • Proven track record shipping customer-facing integrations through complete lifecycles.
  • Strong technical proficiency: fluent reading of API documentation, SQL scripting, understanding data modeling, and the ability to critically assess engineering solutions.
  • Familiarity with B2B enterprise integration patterns covering authentication methods, data synchronization models, batch versus event-driven flows.
  • Solid grasp of modern data stack technologies (specific tools to be defined with the team).
  • Fluency in both German and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with ERP ecosystems such as SAP S/4 HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or NetSuite, including partner programs or certified connectors.
  • A background in software engineering such as a computer science degree, previous developer role, or strong hobbyist coding skills.
  • Exposure to AI and automation in workflows, e.g. LLM agents, document parsing, automated order and quote processing.
  • Experience with regulated B2B industries or familiarity with regulatory environments.
