Role Overview
As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will take ownership of the Hybrid Search product from its upcoming general availability release through subsequent phases of enhancement. This critical initiative involves advancing enterprise-grade, multi-platform search intelligence, significantly impacting millions of frontline workers who rely on efficient access to information across various environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the progression from GA release to growth by integrating customer feedback and setting priorities for fixes and feature expansions.
- Define and manage success metrics that balance technical performance with meaningful user value.
- Collaborate with the AI Assistant team to align search capabilities with assistant outputs.
- Broaden search functionality to include video subtitle indexing and richer content types with deeper integrations such as SharePoint and Confluence.
- Develop enterprise search solutions that connect Staffbase with existing customer knowledge bases.
- Enhance search ranking quality and relevance as the product matures.
- Shape the overall employee experience ensuring timely and relevant information retrieval accessible from any device.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ product management experience, preferably with a focus on search, information retrieval, or AI/ML-enabled solutions.
- Strong B2B SaaS background with understanding of enterprise clients, IT ecosystems, and integration complexities.
- Proven capability to manage technically complex products while maintaining a user-centric focus.
- Experience in continuous product iteration, enhancement, and maturation beyond initial launch.
- Confidence and decisiveness in collaborating with senior technical engineering teams and managing priority negotiations.
- Technical fluency regarding search infrastructure, indexing, and ranking to engage meaningfully in technical discussions.
- User-oriented mindset connecting performance metrics to real user benefits.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of semantic/vector search technologies including embeddings and retrieval models.
- Expertise in search relevance tuning and re-ranking methodologies.
- Familiarity with content indexing pipelines and search ingestion processes.
- Experience integrating enterprise knowledge platforms such as SharePoint or Confluence.
- Insight into AI-generated content summaries or answer synthesis in search products.
- Understanding of search evaluation frameworks including offline assessment and human judgement metrics.
