Your Opportunity

Due to significant growth and an exciting project pipeline, our Buildings structures team in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer. Join a passionate team delivering major Australian projects in Aviation, Defence, Rail, and Water sectors. This role offers the chance to contribute to pioneering building projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of landmark building projects in sectors such as arts & culture, aviation, education, transport, civic, and life sciences.
• Manage structural scope, resource planning, program execution, and commercial results for major commissions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, and consultants to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions.
• Engage closely with clients to shape project strategies and foster enduring partnerships.
• Participate in proposals and bids, actively cultivating relationships with key clients.
• Oversee technical governance and conduct peer reviews on complex, high-risk projects to ensure quality and compliance with standards and codes.
• Contribute to a culture emphasizing collaboration, creativity, and meaningful work.
• Drive technical excellence and mentor the team’s professional growth and development.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive local experience in detailed structural design and project delivery.
• High technical authority combined with commercial awareness; sound judgment in design decisions, risk management, and delivering value to clients.
• Trusted advisor and market leader, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and supporting business growth through thought leadership and strong client relationships.
• Australian citizenship preferred due to involvement in Defence sector projects.
