Senior Steward

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Steward to join our Food & Beverage division, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards. This pivotal role involves collaboration with Captains and Supervisors to ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and professionally assist guests throughout their visit.
• Precisely take and efficiently process food and beverage orders.
• Deliver food and drinks adhering strictly to restaurant service protocols.
• Ensure tables are impeccably arranged, cleaned, and maintained during service hours.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to guarantee prompt order delivery.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and courteously.
• Support Captains and Supervisors in managing dining sections effectively.
• Mentor and guide junior stewards through daily operational tasks.
• Maintain exemplary standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and personal grooming.
• Manage appropriate usage and care of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and related service equipment.
• Verify mise-en-place prior to shifts commencing.
• Assist in opening and closing restaurant procedures.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
• Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and food safety guidelines consistently.
• Provide extra support during peak service times and special events.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years experience in restaurant or hotel service settings.
• Experience in fine-dining environments is preferred or may be essential depending on the establishment.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to interact effectively.
• Deep understanding of restaurant service protocols.
• Well-groomed, presentable personality with a positive and guest-focused outlook.
• Capacity to perform under pressure in fast-paced surroundings.
• Team-oriented mindset combined with leadership capabilities.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Experience

Candidates experienced in fine-dining restaurants, luxury hotels, premium clubs, or renowned hospitality venues are especially encouraged to apply.
