Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D object detection architectures incorporating multi-modal data sources such as camera, LiDAR, and Radar sensors.
• Create and sustain pipelines for data collection and performance evaluation metrics.
• Develop a custom multi-modal dataset used for training and assessing model efficacy.
• Train, deploy, and oversee the operation of 2D and 3D object detection models in production environments.
• Define and drive the strategic roadmap for the perception subsystem.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers about engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Deep Learning, or related disciplines.
• Over seven years of specialized experience designing and implementing 2D and 3D object detection models.
• Hands-on experience across the entire perception pipeline, including sensing, preprocessing, object detection, and tracking.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Strong capability to identify project gaps and lead multidisciplinary initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of autonomous vehicle full-stack systems.
• Experience in designing perception systems with detection and tracking components.
• Published research in prestigious conferences such as CVPR, ICRA, NeurIPS, IJCAI, AAAI.
