Role Overview
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer on the Identity product team located in Pune, you will contribute to improving product quality and resolving customer issues by writing robust code and debugging complex problems. The role involves collaboration with engineering teams and support, sometimes engaging directly with customers to handle level 3 escalations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain extensive Java applications leveraging Spring Boot framework.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and solve challenging technical problems through troubleshooting and escalation management.
- Ensure cloud-based systems on AWS are highly available, scalable, secure, and performant.
- Participate in code reviews ensuring compliance with coding standards, best practices, and sustainability approaches.
- Fix product and security bugs, improve product supportability, and assist technical support and professional services with complex technical queries.
Experience & Qualifications
- 13 to 22 years of professional experience in Java development, with strong expertise in Spring Boot.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and other ecosystem components.
- Proven skills troubleshooting intricate technical issues through tools like log analysis.
- Demonstrated success working on large-scale projects involving coordination among multiple stakeholders.
Onboarding & Progression Plan
- Days 1-30: Set up local development/testing environments, meet peers, review L3 escalation processes, and gain thorough understanding of the product and Java stack.
- Days 31-60: Collaborate with developers to debug issues, start delivering solutions for customer tickets, and contribute to UI and REST service components.
- Days 61-90: Independently manage L3 escalations including direct customer communication, expand automated test coverage, and become a knowledge leader within the team.
