Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable, robust frontend applications using React Native across iOS, Android, and web platforms.
• Enhance developer experience tools to facilitate fast, high-quality code delivery.
• Optimize application performance, including rendering times and memory management; integrate native modules (Swift/Kotlin) when JavaScript functionality limits performance.
• Own the full lifecycle of your features from architectural conception to deployment on app stores, producing clean, modular, and testable code.
• Lead technical design reviews, advocate for automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end), and mentor junior and mid-level engineers to raise engineering standards.
• Streamline and refine development processes, maintaining deep technical involvement while operating strategically.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive software engineering experience of at least 7 years, focused on building and scaling complex production-grade mobile applications.
• Proven expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React Native, along with solid exposure to native mobile development platforms (iOS with Swift or Android with Kotlin).
• Strong architecture skills, including managing state at scale, implementing mobile security best practices such as secure storage, biometrics, cryptography, and designing resilient offline-first or heavily cached applications.
• A high sense of ownership with a passion for product excellence, experienced in delivering polished consumer experiences and iterating based on user data.
• Comfortable working on-site daily in a dynamic, fast-paced environment at our Calgary headquarters.
