About the Role
The Senior Software Project Manager is entrusted with overseeing the comprehensive delivery of a software development initiative, leveraging significant expertise in managing development and implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the complete project lifecycle from initial planning and requirements collation through to deployment and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to set project scope, goals, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including developers, business analysts, quality assurance, and integration experts.
- Create and sustain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource distributions.
- Proactively identify and address risks, dependencies, and impediments to guarantee timeliness and budget adherence.
- Implement Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management approaches to promote iterative development and continuous enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to quality benchmarks and best practices throughout the software development process.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to maintain unified understanding of requirements and priorities.
- Track project performance metrics, oversee progress, and handle change requests and scope alterations.
- Compile periodic status updates, steering committee reports, and executive business evaluations for leadership review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of software project management experience, with a minimum of 3 years managing ERP development or implementation projects.
- Direct experience managing the full lifecycle of ERP projects, including platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or custom ERP solutions.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, system architecture, integrations, and enterprise-level database applications.
- Substantial experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies; certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile are highly desirable.
- Proven ability to successfully deliver intricate software projects within designated timelines, scopes, and budgets.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or equivalents.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken, is required.
