Position Purpose

We are looking to hire a dedicated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Dublin-based engineering team. This position provides a chance to work on diverse projects, explore cutting-edge technologies, and play a significant role in the evolution of our software products. Collaborating with an experienced, tight-knit developer team, you will enhance your expertise in crafting scalable and high-performance software platforms.

Work Schedule and Location

The role is primarily based in Dublin City with a hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite and two days remote per week. The standard working hours run from Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop sophisticated software and application architectures.
• Create clean, optimized code following defined requirements.
• Build and sustain comprehensive automated and manual testing frameworks.
• Engage in peer review sessions to improve overall code quality.
• Automate routine tasks using suitable tools and scripting techniques.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering team to devise and integrate new features.
• Participate actively in Agile rituals such as daily stand-ups.
• Handle end-to-end testing of products, systems, and software.
• Operate across the full technological stack used in the organization’s products.
• Ensure adherence to company policies including coding standards, data privacy regulations, and non-disclosure agreements.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, programming, or a related field, or alternatively, a portfolio showcasing live, deployed technology systems.
• Firm grasp of fundamental computer science principles such as object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Between four to five or more years of relevant industry experience.
• Practical experience with technologies including JavaScript, React, Node.js, Firebase, Express.js, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, OpenAI, and CircleCI.
• Familiarity with Jest testing framework.
• Knowledge of NoSQL database systems.
