Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate closely with fellow engineers to scope, design, document, develop, integrate, and rigorously test software solutions for a large-scale web application.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and validate software modules predominantly using Java.
• Design and utilize data storage strategies and technologies such as PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
• Contribute to the development and integration of artificial intelligence-driven features.
• Mentor junior developers or small teams to uphold quality standards and ensure timely project completion.
• Manage deployment and maintenance of applications within cloud platforms like AWS.
• Apply web front-end technologies including HTML and CSS in development efforts.
• Employ prominent software frameworks such as React, Angular, and Spring for application development.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be an Australian citizen due to the necessity of an NV1 defence security clearance.
• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Have at least five years of professional experience in software engineering or technology development roles.
• Show genuine interest and experience with AI technologies, whether through professional experience, academic pursuits, or personal projects involving AI-enabled solutions.
• Exhibit excellent organizational abilities and problem-solving skills with a results-driven approach.
• Be a strong team collaborator adept at meeting deadlines efficiently.
• Demonstrate excellent communication competencies and proficient technical documentation skills including UML diagrams.
• Proven expertise in essential technology domains covering software engineering, data storage, and web technologies.
