Position Summary

The Senior Software Engineer will be based full-time onsite in Riyadh and will engage in the design, development, and upkeep of backend services and APIs integral to Rasēd’s fraud detection and intelligence platform. Responsibilities include delivering robust and scalable software, optimizing system performance, collaborating closely with product, data, and cybersecurity teams to convert business needs into technical specifications, reviewing code quality, mentoring colleagues, setting best practices, and influencing architectural decisions. The role also encompasses diagnosing and resolving production issues, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring secure data management within a high-availability environment.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Firm grounding in computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Proven experience in building production-level backend services using object-oriented programming methodologies.
• Proficiency in developing web backends and scalable API services for distributed systems.
• Formal education with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Practical knowledge of modern backend programming languages and frameworks such as Java, C#, Python, and Node.js, alongside experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, microservices architecture, and container systems including Docker and Kubernetes is highly valued.
• Experience or background in fintech, fraud detection, or other data and security-focused system development is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, clear communication, and mentoring capabilities.
• Excellence in problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong dedication to producing secure and high-quality software.
