Position Overview
We seek a talented and seasoned Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate possesses substantial practical development experience on the ServiceNow platform and will be key in developing, configuring, integrating, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions. Collaboration with both clients and internal stakeholders is essential, as is mentoring junior developers and ensuring adherence to best development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions aligned with business and technical needs.
- Create and support integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, Import Sets, and Transform Maps.
- Implement robust, error-resilient integration frameworks and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Customize and develop Service Portal components, including widgets, pages, and themes.
- Develop with JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS technologies.
- Work with ITSM and core ServiceNow modules such as Flow Designer, Script Includes, Business Rules, ACLs, and Service Portal.
- Adhere to ServiceNow best practices to ensure maintainable and upgrade-safe solutions.
- Engage in technical design sessions and solution discussions.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers, delegating tasks and ensuring quality delivery.
- Collaborate closely with clients to capture requirements, conduct workshops, and deliver demonstrations.
- Provide regular status updates and maintain open communication with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Operate under the guidance of Lead Developer or Architect, taking full ownership of assigned tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of direct, hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Preferably experienced in consulting, systems integration, or client services roles.
- Possession of ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is mandatory.
- Certified Application Developer (CAD) and/or CIS certifications are advantageous.
- Proficient in working with REST and SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, Import Sets, and Transform Maps.
- Experience in handling integration errors and troubleshooting efficiently.
- Strong expertise in Service Portal customization including widgets, pages, and themes.
- Advanced skills in JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Deep understanding of ITSM processes and core ServiceNow platform capabilities.
- Familiarity with Flow Designer, Script Includes, Business Rules, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
- Knowledgeable about development standards, upgrade-safe coding practices, and best practices within ServiceNow.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and performing detailed code reviews.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with clients for requirements gathering and facilitation of workshops.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical leadership and project teams.
