Senior Software Engineer, SaaS Control Plane

Our customer, a global leader in media technology, is renowned for delivering cutting-edge video and audio editing tools used by premier entertainment brands and Hollywood studios. The long-standing partnership between our customer and GlobalLogic has driven product development in audio-video editing and media workflow management for over 15 years. Currently, the collaboration is expanding to develop next-generation cloud-based and AI-enhanced media lifecycle management solutions, supported by a growing team in India dedicated to advancing cloud and AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain core control plane services that manage tenant provisioning, user and service account management, API keys, entitlement, and subscription enforcement within a SaaS platform.
• Oversee the complete onboarding process from account creation and identity configuration to resource allocation and ensuring readiness for first use.
• Design APIs and asynchronous workflows that efficiently coordinate between services, managing failures and retries with robustness.
• Implement observability features such as structured logging, performance metrics, and distributed tracing to enhance system reliability and ease operational troubleshooting.
• Collaborate closely with authentication, database, and platform teams to ensure security and feature consistency across the tech stack.
• Contribute to improving operational health by creating runbooks, setting up alerts, and implementing continuous enhancements to minimize repetitive manual tasks.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience with backend development for cloud-based SaaS products, totaling 8+ years.
• Strong foundational knowledge in AWS services including IAM, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora, SQS/SNS, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
• Proven expertise designing and operating multi-tenant systems with effective tenant isolation and manageable operations.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Go, including writing thoroughly tested and maintainable service code.
• Good understanding of asynchronous and event-driven programming models and their significance in distributed system control planes.
• Habitual documentation practices such as authoring architecture decision records (ADRs), runbooks, and API contracts.
• Desirable skills include Kubernetes operator patterns, GitOps tools like ArgoCD, workflow orchestrators such as Temporal or AWS Step Functions, and experience integrating enterprise customers with Single Sign-On (SSO) and System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM).
