About the Team
The Global Product and Design group operates within the Streaming and Games division, managing the streaming platform that powers top video products across multiple devices such as connected TVs, mobile, web, and consoles. This includes brands like Max, HBO Max, discovery+, CNN, and many more. The team functions collaboratively to achieve leadership in digital media worldwide.
Role Overview
The Global Customer Experience organization aims to captivate millions worldwide by developing Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming applications for all platforms. The Roku development team plays a crucial role in delivering these apps. As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will work closely with developers and stakeholders to design, build, and sustain software features utilized daily by millions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop client-side code for streaming applications utilizing industry-standard technologies.
- Under guidance from senior engineers, actively engage in a team environment contributing to development, documentation, code reviews, issue resolution, and release support.
- Effectively communicate with engineers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting through meetings and collaborative sessions.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software product or service development and deployment.
- Proficiency in client-side scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python; familiarity with BrightScript and SceneGraph is advantageous.
- Experience developing applications for streaming platforms like Roku or FireTV is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Experience using Git for version control in a collaborative setting.

Compensation for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 annually. This includes a comprehensive benefits package featuring health insurance, wellness programs, life and disability coverage, retirement plans, and paid leave. Additional rewards may include bonuses and incentives.
