Role Overview

We seek a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in a dynamic, impact-driven environment, free from prolonged meetings and unnecessary delays. This role emphasizes shipping meaningful products swiftly with quality, using AI-driven tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot to boost productivity across development, debugging, testing, and code review.

Responsibilities

• Develop and launch impactful features improving user experiences in earning, tracking, and redeeming rewards through HeyMax.
• Implement AI-assisted development practices throughout your workflow, from requirement analysis to testing.
• Lead technical design decisions, balancing development speed, reliability, maintainability, and product value.
• Maintain an active hands-on approach by writing and reviewing code regularly.
• Enhance code quality by writing clean, maintainable solutions, strengthening test coverage, and improving system observability and reliability as we grow.
• Work collaboratively across product, design, business, and operations teams to translate user and business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Mentor peers by providing feedback, conducting code reviews, pairing, and sharing best practices for AI-augmented development.
• Build and sustain production-grade systems spanning mobile, backend, infrastructure, data, or AI-related domains.
• Take ownership of projects from unclear requirements through to delivered, measurable results.
• Participate actively in architectural discussions and control technical decisions within project scopes.
• Identify and remediate technical debt, reliability issues, and opportunities to boost developer productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent real-world software engineering experience.
• Significant expertise in one or more key areas: mobile application development, backend systems, infrastructure engineering, data pipelines, or AI technologies.
• Proven experience designing, building, and supporting production systems used by end customers.
• Strong product intuition allowing pragmatic prioritization and decision-making amid ambiguity.
• Regular usage of AI-driven coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or comparable tools to accelerate development.
• Excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration with both technical peers and stakeholders from other disciplines.
• A mindset focused on ownership, driving outcomes beyond just task completion.
• Bonus: familiarity with fintech products, loyalty and rewards programs, or deployments spanning multiple Southeast Asian regions.
