Senior Software Engineer - Payments Platform

About the Role

Join ASB as a Senior Software Engineer focusing on our Payments platform, contributing to solutions that support and enhance payment processing systems. You will be integral in designing, developing, and maintaining complex enterprise-level payment systems, while also mentoring junior software developers within an agile autonomous squad environment. Your work will directly influence the tools and services that help customers manage their financial lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions related to the Payments platform.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives on processes and technology to ensure high scalability and availability.
• Engage actively with internal stakeholders to capture requirements and align technical solutions with business needs.
• Oversee monitoring, alerting, and reporting mechanisms for system environments to ensure operational excellence.
• Provide technical mentoring and promote best practices among team members.
• Utilize CI/CD technologies such as Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions effectively across projects.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong initiative and problem-solving skills, with a proven record of leadership and independent working capability. You can thoughtfully create and communicate technical designs to diverse audiences and are motivated to see Card Payment changes through to production. Collaboration and knowledge sharing with multiple squads and stakeholders are key to your role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in C#, .NET, and/or .NET Core development frameworks.
• Extensive experience with Azure PaaS solutions.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline management, and GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile software development methodologies.

Preferred Additional Competencies

• Experience with Windows web server infrastructure.
• Understanding of financial or banking domains.
• Hands-on familiarity with cloud technologies.
• Experience using Linux containers and Docker technologies like K3s.
• Familiarity with MVC and frontend development.
• Knowledge of microservices architectural patterns.
• Managing SSL certificates and Azure networking components.
• Integrations and messaging services experience, including Azure Service Bus.
