Senior Software Engineer (Java 17)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Developer with 6 to 8 years of experience specializing in fintech domain solutions. This role involves working on a world-class data aggregation, reconciliation, and reporting product designed for enterprise environments. You will be tasked with analyzing diverse business cases and developing robust technology solutions to resolve complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and architect software systems suited for large-scale business applications using Java, J2EE technologies.
• Create high-quality code following best practices, including tiered coding, business layer logic, interface, and service development.
• Participate actively in requirement gathering sessions and support technical documentation efforts.
• Collaborate with Product Management to clarify ambiguous requirements and ensure all queries are resolved.
• Apply Agile methodologies such as Scrum and iterative development for project execution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate software system problems efficiently.

Required Skills and Experience

• 6-8 years of expertise in Java enterprise development, including frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful web services, JMS (ActiveMQ), XML, and JSON data formats.
• Practical knowledge of Unix systems, Oracle databases, and SQL queries.
• Experience working with any message communication framework (MQ) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, specifically Scrum.

Additional Desirable Skills

• Experience with Activiti BPM workflow engine.
• Knowledge of DROOLS Rules Engine for business rule management.
• Hands-on with authentication integration frameworks and protocols like OAuth, SAML, LDAP, and Kerberos.
• Comfortable working with multiple integration technologies and frameworks.
