Role Overview
We are expanding our new Dublin office with an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in frontend development. You will be instrumental in creating compelling and dependable user interfaces for dealer-facing products and actively participate in end-to-end feature development. This role offers the chance to influence product offerings in Canada and the UK, contribute to architectural discussions, and help shape the office culture.
Responsibilities
- Create and sustain scalable, high-quality frontend applications for international dealer products using React and TypeScript.
- Collaborate across teams including product management, design, and engineering to produce and refine software solutions tailored for international markets.
- Participate in architectural decision-making and technical design sessions to enhance system robustness.
- Manage frontend services from initial concept to deployment and continuous production maintenance.
- Implement best practices for security, maintainability, and optimal performance of applications.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex issues in production environments, utilizing observability and monitoring tools to assess system health.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct thorough code reviews, and contribute to establishing effective engineering standards and processes for the Dublin office.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of professional experience developing frontend software.
- Proven track record building responsive, dynamic interfaces with React and TypeScript in production settings.
- Experience with server-side TypeScript frameworks such as Remix, Next.js, or Express.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills, capable of thriving in a fast-moving, iterative development environment.
- Knowledge of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and exposure to GraphQL.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes, automated testing, service monitoring, and production management.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn, lead projects, and expand technical skills.
- Desirable: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a competitive annual base salary between €78,000 and €108,000 EUR. Total compensation may include discretionary bonuses, incentives, and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) as part of an extensive total rewards package.
