Role Overview

We invite passionate engineers to join Kasada’s mission of defending clients against sophisticated automation. This opening focuses on compiler design and implementation for our unique Virtual Machine architecture. You'll apply your expertise to enhance our obfuscation techniques by creating custom languages and VM solutions to outsmart attackers. You will collaborate closely with research and engineering teams to develop novel protective technologies and help lead advancements in cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve Kasada's custom Virtual Machine platform.
• Architect and optimize different phases of our compiler pipeline.
• Transform conceptual research into practical systems that strengthen bot defense.
• Work alongside product and engineering teams to drive innovative solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions to design scalable and effective implementations.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a software engineer in senior roles.
• Solid understanding of compiler structures and development.
• Practical experience with compiler technologies and AST manipulation.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical topics to diverse audiences.
• Excellent debugging abilities and readiness to tackle unknown challenges.
• Experience developing user-centric tests.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with browser engines and legacy compatibility.
• Background in cybersecurity domains.
• Experience with client-side testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of Babel compiler framework.
• Prior work with Virtual Machines.
