Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop backend or fullstack software solutions serving thousands of users.
• Lead feature development independently from concept through deployment.
• Manage systems prioritizing reliability, scalability, and accuracy in distributed environments.
• Partner effectively with Product, Design, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Engage in system architecture enhancements and continuous technical refinement.
• Champion engineering best practices and elevate standards across the organization.

Candidate Profile

• Proven expertise as a software engineer in live production settings.
• Strong backend programming skills, particularly with Java, Kotlin, or equivalents; fullstack experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability in designing scalable and dependable systems.
• Comfortable addressing vague problem areas and defining solutions.
• Exemplifies ownership spirit and accountability.
• Effective communicator with collaborative attitude.

Preferred Qualifications (Varies by Team)

• Background in payroll, financial technology, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with distributed or event-driven system architectures.
• Experience utilizing cloud infrastructure such as AWS.
