Role Overview

As a Full Stack Software Engineer within the AI Programme, you will design and implement comprehensive technology solutions that address user needs effectively. This role involves full ownership of features from design through deployment and ongoing enhancement, collaborating closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineering peers.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop secure, scalable full-stack applications serving practical user requirements.
• Work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to convert business needs into elegant technical implementations.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code spanning frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.
• Participate actively in design discussions, code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices.
• Own feature delivery end-to-end including maintenance and improvements.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in React (TypeScript), Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Python for basic data analytics and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines, preferably GitLab CI or equivalent tools.
• Strong foundation in software architecture, system design, and building fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Background working in Agile environments with iterative release cycles.
• Capability to solve complex and abstract programming challenges creatively.
• A thoughtful approach to balancing performance, maintainability, and business considerations during technical decision-making.
• Effective communication skills, adept at explaining technical matters to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-driven, proactive problem solver who identifies improvement opportunities.
• Accountable and reliable, with a commitment to delivering on promises.
• A collaborative mindset, valuing team and project success beyond individual contributions.
• An interest in generative AI and trust and safety online domain is a plus.
