Job description
About Yinsee Connect Ltd
Yinsee Connect Ltd is a technology-centric, early-stage company focused on creating dependable and scalable software solutions tailored to address practical business challenges. Situated in Christchurch and Auckland, New Zealand, the company is an ambitious and expanding venture inspired by its founder’s original service vision from 2008. Today, a multidisciplinary team encompassing technology, project management, business growth, and investment is actively advancing this vision.
Being part of Yinsee Connect at this nascent stage offers the chance to collaborate closely with core decision-makers, share ideas from the outset, and contribute meaningfully toward transforming a long-held concept into a scalable tech platform. The company prizes initiative, accountability, pragmatic problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary teamwork. Employees are motivated to take broad ownership of outcomes and engage in shaping company direction beyond their immediate roles.
Role Overview
This opportunity is for a Senior Software Development Contractor on an initial three-month contract basis with a hybrid work setup based in Christchurch or Auckland. The pay rate ranges from $50 to $60 per hour depending on experience and expertise. The position demands a seasoned developer capable of independent work, assuming responsibility for technical delivery, and translating a clear business vision into a reliable and scalable technological solution.
The candidate will work directly with the founder and broader team, contributing to critical architectural and technical decisions with significant influence over platform development. This hands-on role entails establishing the technical groundwork to support the company’s scaling goals, with autonomy to propose innovative solutions and challenge the status quo.
There may be potential for the right fit to obtain equity in Yinsee Connect based on their impact, capabilities, and long-term involvement, allowing participation in the company’s prospective growth and success.

- Provide mentorship and technical guidance as the engineering team expands.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or comparable practical experience.
