Senior Software Developer / Build & Tooling Expert

Key Responsibilities

• Design and enhance intricate build and tooling ecosystems for .NET and C++ development platforms.
• Evaluate compiler, linker, and build procedures to enable efficient and repeatable software releases.
• Create sophisticated MSBuild solutions incorporating custom targets, tasks, multi-targeting, and project dependencies.
• Architect and integrate COM-based interfaces alongside advanced .NET interoperability frameworks.
• Develop scalable gRPC service architectures for distributed systems communication.
• Generate Roslyn analyzers and code fix providers to enforce automated technical development standards.
• Advance CI/CD processes, build automation, and developer tooling; provide assistance on complex technical matters.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification coupled with multiple years of development experience.
• Deep proficiency in C#, .NET, C++, and the Visual Studio toolchain.
• Expert-level knowledge of MSBuild, compiler setups, build optimization, and handling large-scale software projects.
• Strong expertise in COM, .NET interoperability, marshaling, memory leak resolution, and threading challenges.
• Several years working with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and distributed service or microservice architectures.
• Practical use of Roslyn, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, along with experience in automated build and release pipelines.
• Background in software architecture, platform engineering, legacy system modernization, and technical support for development teams.
