We are seeking a skilled and driven Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team based in Dublin. This position operates on a hybrid schedule, blending remote work flexibility with two office days weekly to foster collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the stability and performance of Fivetran’s production infrastructure by monitoring availability, capacity, and throughput.
• Incorporate reliability enhancements into the product roadmap.
• Coordinate prioritization and resolution of critical bugs to support sales and client needs.
• Provide recommendations to ensure complete infrastructure uptime by collaborating with engineering teams.
• Automate scalable deployment across all environments through scripting.
• Monitor and address infrastructure security vulnerabilities in partnership with the security team.

Technical Environment

• Cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Managed Kubernetes clusters via EKS, AKS, and GKE.
• Continuous Integration and Delivery tools such as GitHub Actions, Buildkite, and ArgoCD.
• Databases including PostgreSQL among others.
• Programming and scripting: Go, Java, Python, TypeScript, and Shell.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Pulumi.
• RESTful API framework FastAPI.
• Cloud networking technologies like Privatelinks (Azure & AWS), Private Service Connect (GCP), and site-to-site VPNs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency with managed Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Buildkite, Pulumi, and ArgoCD.
• Competency in scripting with Python and Shell, and programming in Go; Java experience is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of Linux OS internals and system administration.
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts including VPNs and private connectivity services.
• Experience leveraging AI tools for engineering tasks like code review, automation, incident analysis, and documentation.

Preferred Extras

• Over five years working with SaaS products at scale.
• Database experience, particularly with PostgreSQL.
