Job description
About the Role
Join The Customization Group as a Senior Shop Manager responsible for the comprehensive management of live online shops. You'll handle daily operations, campaign and event updates, testing, and customer journey optimization. Your decisions directly influence what is released and how its success is measured.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day shop activities including campaigns, banners, discount logic, content updates, and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
- Take ownership of specific shops or projects end-to-end, managing stakeholders, timelines, and quality of delivery.
- Launch new shops and facilitate expansion into new markets, including localization aspects such as language, currency, and payment options.
- Support product launches ensuring clean rollouts through setup, testing, and follow-up.
- Conduct thorough QA and structured A/B testing built on clear hypotheses to guide improvements.
- Analyze customer journeys to detect drop-off points, diagnose reasons, and prioritize improvement initiatives.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance productivity by generating test ideas, streamlining QA, adapting content, and accelerating reporting, while maintaining oversight before going live.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of structured, delivery-focused experience in e-commerce shop management, online project management, or product ownership.
- Proven capability managing complex, cross-functional projects under tight schedules.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies including A/B tests, quality assurance, and data-driven decision making.
- Daily use of AI tools to boost efficiency in analysis, drafting, QA, and reporting with critical review of outputs.
- A proactive, hands-on attitude where you take responsibility for both decision-making and execution.
- Fluent English communication skills enabling smooth collaboration across international teams.
- Desirable: Hands-on experience with Shopify and launching or running Shopify stores.
- An aptitude for user experience and customer journey insights, even if learned on the job.
- Experience with multi-market/shop localization including regional adaptations.
Why Join Us Now?
- Ownership you can see with named shops and projects to manage end-to-end, setting team standards without direct people management.
- Exposure to a broad portfolio of 20+ online shops and multiple shop systems amid a Shopify migration.
- A/B testing is central to decisions, feeding a data-driven culture within shop operations.
- Real AI integration designed to increase throughput and generate reusable workflows with human governance.
Candidate Profile
- Structured operators who thrive on managing diverse tasks against deadlines.
- Self-driven professionals who prefer owning outcomes over delegated task lists and who lead by example.
- Competent AI users who apply tools thoughtfully and verify all outputs before deployment.
- Effective communicators bridging commercial and technical teams smoothly.
- Less suitable if your background is mainly digital marketing channels or if you prefer directional roles without execution.
Compensation & Benefits
- Transparent pay communicated upfront during the first discussion, aligned with experience and achievements.
- Ownership of shops with seniority as the most experienced individual on a small team.
- Accessible AI tools necessary for your role.
- International environment with 40+ nationalities distributed over 10 locations.
- Local employment benefits including paid leave and other regional perks.
Hiring Process
- Step 1: Initial recruiter phone call covering role details, compensation, and mutual expectations.
- Step 2: Interview with hiring manager including discussion of your job experience and a practical task related to a customer journey.
