Job description
Position Overview
Insight Commodities, a reputable FCA-regulated broker based in Central London, offers an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Associate specialized in Commodity and FX Hedging Solutions. This role focuses on expanding the sales team by targeting UK corporates, particularly within the agricultural and softs sectors, and providing tailored commodity and currency risk management services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target sectors such as grains, oilseeds, soft commodities, and dairy, securing high-quality initial meetings with corporate decision-makers, including Desk Leads and Traders.
- Conduct direct commercial discussions with prospects, evaluating their exposure to commodity and currency fluctuations, their hedging requirements, and risk tolerance before transferring clients to the trading team.
- Develop and manage strategic commercial partnerships with industry organizations, trade associations, and other relevant entities to generate fresh business opportunities.
- Be accountable for achieving individual revenue goals based on secured volumes, client onboarding, and partnership channels.
- Collaborate closely with structuring, trading, and compliance teams to ensure seamless client onboarding from initial engagement to trade execution.
- Analyze emerging market prospects and assist in producing market updates for clients.
Candidate Profile
- Possess over three years of B2B sales experience, preferably in selling financial products such as corporate FX, hedging solutions, payments, or commodity broking to UK-based corporates.
- Demonstrate aptitude as a natural new-business developer, confidently engaging with senior corporate leaders such as MDs, CFOs, and finance directors both telephonically and in person.
- Maintain a self-driven, disciplined, and results-focused mindset with a consistent history of meeting or surpassing key performance indicators and targets.
- Exhibit strong skills in relationship-building and influencing, thriving in collaborative team environments.
- Manage time effectively, be proficient in CRM usage, basic reporting, and MS Office applications.
- While knowledge of commodity markets and related terminology is advantageous, the primary emphasis is on motivation and capability to acquire new clients.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Competitive base salary ranging from £45,000 to £50,000 annually, complemented by a commission scheme.
- Exposure to a prominent role within a rapidly expanding and award-winning enterprise.
- Autonomy to develop your own client pipeline, supported by robust tools, traders, and structuring experts.
- Opportunity to transition into commodity markets for individuals experienced in FX and financial sales.
- A corporate culture emphasizing Excellence, Transparency, Innovation, and Opportunity.
