Role Overview

The Senior Sales Assistant position is a full-time, on-site role located in Dubai. The incumbent will support daily store activities and help boost sales through effective engagement with customers on the retail floor. Responsibilities include assisting with product choices, addressing queries, and offering informed purchasing advice to improve customer satisfaction. Ensuring shelves are sufficiently stocked, merchandise is attractively displayed, and prices are correct falls under this role. Additionally, the Senior Sales Assistant monitors inventory and coordinates replenishment with appropriate departments.

Handling checkout transactions accurately, resolving basic customer issues, and maintaining a clean and safe sales area are also essential. The role involves mentoring less experienced staff, supporting promotional efforts, and communicating customer feedback and product performance insights to management.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills for professional interaction with varied clientele.
• Experience in retail sales, including merchandising, stock rotation, and inventory observation.
• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and cash handling, maintaining precision and following store protocols.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Capability to guide junior team members and cooperate productively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Basic numeracy and computer literacy; familiarity with retail management software or ERP is a plus.
• Preferably previous supervisory or leadership experience in supermarket or hypermarket sales roles.
• Completion of high school or equivalent; any retail or customer service training is advantageous.
• Availability for flexible shifts including weekends and holidays per store schedule.
