Opportunity Overview
We are searching for a skilled electronic design engineer with specialized expertise in RF technologies to contribute to the development of implantable medical electronics and controller devices. This role is based in Dublin, Ireland and offers a dynamic, fast-moving environment that values creative thinking and proactive problem-solving. Join us to influence the future of healthcare devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize RF power transmission circuits and communication circuits.
- Conduct failure analysis, devise test protocols, execute device testing, and prepare detailed validation reports.
- Perform frequency domain analyses and simulations under boundary or extreme operational conditions.
- Lead development efforts for medical device PCBA electronic products.
- Document technical specifications, requirements, and related project details thoroughly.
Required Expertise and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Electronic Engineering.
- Proven experience in designing RF electronic circuits, analog circuit design, and conducting SPICE simulations.
- Knowledge of active filters, mixers, low-noise amplifiers (LNAs), voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), signal integrity principles, impedance matching, and signal termination techniques.
- Background in embedded electronic system design.
- Experience in wireless power transmission technologies.
- Hands-on work with wireless communications using agile transceivers and associated protocols.
- Skilled in developing noise models and link budgets for communication systems.
- Competence in high-speed and RF PCB layout and simulation using Altium designer software.
- Experience with standard laboratory test instrumentation such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to develop electrical power consumption models, perform thermal modeling, and optimize circuit calibration methods.
- Expertise in electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of embedded software development and software-defined radio technologies.
- Proven capability in translating embedded device concepts into finalized products.
