Role Overview

The Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate will join the Compliance team to ensure all personal care and cosmetic products comply with relevant regulatory standards in Australia and New Zealand. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Product, R&D, Brand, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to provide expert regulatory guidance supporting product development, market entry, and ongoing regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance to guarantee conformity with AICIS and local regulations for cosmetic products across ANZ.
• Perform detailed reviews of formulations, ingredients, labeling, and claims to enable compliant product creation and market launches.
• Develop, audit, and maintain essential regulatory documentation, including Product Information Files, Safety Data Sheets, and ingredient records.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate regulatory requirements into business initiatives and operations.
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes, evaluate their impact on the business, and recommend necessary compliance strategies.
• Contribute to regulatory capability enhancement via continuous improvement efforts, intelligence gathering, and mentoring colleagues.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least 3 to 5 years of Regulatory Affairs experience in personal care, cosmetics, or related sectors.
• In-depth expertise with ANZ regulatory frameworks including AICIS compliance, product labeling standards, ingredient regulations, and claim substantiation.
• Proven experience in preparing and managing regulatory dossiers, Product Information Files, Safety Data Sheets, and ingredient documentation.
• Knowledge of international cosmetics regulations, especially in US and EU markets.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, adept at handling multiple projects and prioritizing deadlines.
• Academic background in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related scientific fields, combined with meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem-solving mindset.
