Overview
The Senior Recruiter position at Salt, operating within The Kitchen North America, is a strategic role focused on leading comprehensive recruitment processes across critical departments such as Creative, Strategy, Media, Digital, and Operations. Based in Toronto with a hybrid work arrangement, this role reports to the Director of Talent and emphasizes developing strong hiring practices, promoting employer branding, and fostering diversity and inclusion in talent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for senior and specialist roles in multiple disciplines ensuring alignment with business growth.
- Collaborate with department leaders to anticipate hiring needs and create proactive sourcing strategies.
- Build extensive pipelines of diverse, top-performing candidates using advanced sourcing techniques and market insights.
- Ensure all recruitment communications authentically represent Salt’s culture and inclusivity values.
- Coach recruiting team members and hiring managers on sourcing, candidate evaluation, and engagement techniques.
- Enhance candidate experiences by maintaining transparent, respectful, and consistent recruitment stages.
- Lead training for hiring managers on structured interviews and equitable evaluation processes.
- Partner with marketing to develop employer brand initiatives and represent the company at industry events.
- Maintain accurate data in ATS, track hiring metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on workforce planning and recruitment strategies.
- Drive alignment between recruitment activities and organizational or financial priorities through collaboration with various departments.
- Lead early talent initiatives including campus recruitment and internships, building relationships to enhance the entry-level talent pipeline.
Qualifications & Skills
- Five to seven years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably in creative, digital, or integrated agency settings.
- Proven ability to manage complex senior hiring processes and multiple concurrent specialized recruitment projects.
- Expertise in sourcing diverse candidates using a variety of research, networking, and digital tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and build trust across organizational levels.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruitment analytics tools.
- Experience improving recruitment processes to enhance speed, quality, and consistency.
- Understanding of employer branding in partnership with marketing or communications teams.
- Leadership experience in mentoring recruiters or hiring managers.
- Passion for fostering inclusive hiring practices and early talent development.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and proactive in dynamic, fast-paced settings.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000 annually, dependent on relevant experience and job-related criteria. This figure excludes additional benefits that comprise the total rewards package.
