Role Summary

We seek a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Contract Administrator experienced in contract management, quantity surveying, cost control, and project planning within construction and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project contracts from start to finish ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Evaluate and process variations, claims, extensions of time (EOT), and contractual rights.
  • Prepare and review interim payments, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Oversee subcontractor financials including accounts, payments, variations, and claims.
  • Track and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow, and commercial performance.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs, bills of quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, rate analysis, and compile commercial reports.
  • Collaborate with planning and project control teams to monitor progress, schedules, delays, and assess time and cost implications.
  • Provide contractual, commercial, cost, and planning support to project teams.
  • Draft contractual correspondence, notices, reports, and necessary documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to commercial, contractual, cost, and scheduling factors.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience within Qatar's construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Solid expertise in contract administration, quantity surveying, commercial management, cost control, variations, and claims handling.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard construction contract forms.
  • Experience preparing interim payments, valuations, bills of quantities, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and final accounts reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and cost reporting.
  • Competent in project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and delay analysis including EOT assessments.
  • Knowledge of subcontract administration and managing payments, variations, and claims.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and reporting abilities.
  • Proficiency with relevant quantity surveying, cost management, and planning software tools considered beneficial.
