Job description
About the Role
This position is based in Savardari, Chakan MIDC, Pune, for a senior quality engineer at a multinational company. The role involves managing quality assurance tasks specifically related to stamping and pressing parts in automotive manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Address and resolve customer complaints effectively
- Implement in-process controls to reduce parts per million (PPM) defects
- Analyze and verify internal process issues and their corrective measures
- Close customer complaints utilizing the 8D problem-solving methodology
- Prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation
- Conduct internal audits and compile Management Review Meeting (MRM) data
- Audit and maintain Control Plans to ensure process adherence
- Update Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
- Apply process corrections and validate improvements
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical or Production Engineering
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in quality roles within automotive or stamping industries
