Senior Quality Engineer

About the Role

TMC Middle East seeks a seasoned Senior Quality Engineer to join a cutting-edge technology organisation based in Dubai. This role offers a unique chance to oversee and enhance the quality of software throughout the entire development lifecycle within a dynamic and fast-paced setting, focusing on accuracy, teamwork, and ongoing optimization.

Key Duties

• Design, develop, and implement thorough manual testing procedures for database-supported web applications, encompassing functional, regression, and integration tests.
• Work closely with developers and business analysts in both Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM frameworks to establish acceptance criteria and troubleshoot defects.
• Oversee test strategies, document defects, and manage records using Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
• Create and run SQL queries to check the accuracy of data and validate backend database functionality as part of comprehensive testing processes.
• Introduce and refine testing protocols and best practices to raise the quality assurance standards within the team.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Bring at least five years of experience in software Quality Control with a strong emphasis on manual testing methodologies.
• Demonstrate solid proficiency in SQL and practical experience testing database-driven web platforms.
• Have working knowledge of JavaScript, VBScript, or CSS aimed at web application testing contexts.
• Be skilled in utilizing issue-tracking software and source control tools, including GIT.

Additional Information

• This position requires full-time onsite presence in Dubai; applicants must be completely comfortable with this work mode.
• The expected notice period ranges from immediate availability up to 30 days; those with longer notice periods should not apply.
• Preference is given to candidates who can start immediately, though those within the 30-day window are considered.
