Role Overview
As a Senior Quality Editor - English, you will utilize your expertise as an experienced English educator to influence large-scale student learning outcomes. Former educators have joined our team and contributed their classroom experience to content that supports learning across a broader audience. In this position, you will oversee both content and the creators behind it by editing and quality-assuring various projects, maintaining guidelines and templates, and mentoring the editorial team through training, feedback, and onboarding processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform editing and quality assurance on English content, embodying high standards for instructional design and quality.
- Manage and update quality assurance documentation, training materials, and templates utilized by English editors.
- Apply consistent quality metrics for lessons and assessments across English projects.
- Collaborate with Content Quality Manager and Head of Content Delivery to define quality benchmarks and create tracking reports to monitor content quality during production.
- Work with the Learning Strategy team to guide quality frameworks for new product development.
- Provide leadership within the Continuous Improvement team, advocating for quality as a core priority in daily operations.
- Analyze quality and performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements for content delivery and ongoing projects.
- Review preparatory materials such as handover documents, model lessons, and assessment scripts to ensure project readiness.
- Conduct or facilitate English-focused training sessions and assist with onboarding contract editors.
- Offer guidance and support to English editors across multiple projects.
- Coordinate graphic design briefs relating to lessons, collaborating with writers and designers.
- Identify and implement workflow efficiencies within content delivery processes, extending improvements across teams.
- Oversee the management of English content packages, including cross-department collaborations and inquiries.
- Assist recruitment and coordination of contract reviewers and editors, responding to content queries from educators and staff.
- Support the creation and upkeep of English learning pathways.
- Meet designated productivity and quality objectives for assigned tasks.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience designing instructional materials for English curriculum covering years 7 to 13.
- Deep knowledge of pedagogy and meticulous attention to uphold instructional design quality.
- Skilled in providing constructive training and feedback to content teams.
- Experience in reviewing and enhancing quality assurance processes and leading their adoption.
- Advanced analytical capabilities to leverage data and insights for continuous quality improvements.
- Strong communication skills for building collaborative relationships with various stakeholders across projects and management levels.
- Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and adapting to changing priorities and methodologies, including the integration of AI-driven tools.
- A collaborative mindset within cross-functional environments.
