Role Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer based in Visakhapatnam holds on-site full-time responsibilities to ensure the reliability and quality of DATAi2i's AI-driven software solutions. This position entails creating, executing, and managing comprehensive test plans and cases for various projects and platforms. Daily activities include manual testing, verifying both functional and non-functional specifications, reporting defects accurately, and collaborating with engineering, product, and data divisions to enhance quality standards. The engineer will also refine QA methodologies, develop strategic test coverage for complex AI systems, and support software releases via detailed regression and acceptance testing. Additionally, mentoring junior QA staff to encourage best practices in quality assurance is a key part of the role.

What You Will Do

• Design, implement, and maintain effective test plans and test cases for diverse AI and software applications.
• Execute manual testing activities including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance tests.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with cross-functional teams for timely resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of QA processes and testing strategies for advanced AI-driven systems.
• Support software releases through rigorous regression and acceptance testing cycles.
• Guide and support junior QA engineers to build quality assurance capabilities within the team.

Candidate Profile

• Robust experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing for complex production systems.
• Proficient in designing, managing, and optimizing test executions and test cases.
• Experienced in manual testing methodologies covering functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Previous work experience in engineering settings, ideally with AI, data platforms, or distributed software environments.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail), defect tracking, and CI/CD integration workflows.
• Ability to interpret requirements thoroughly, formulate clear test scenarios, and communicate issues effectively with diverse teams.
• Educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable practical experience.
• Prior leadership or senior roles in QA, including mentoring roles to junior QA personnel.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and dedication to delivering high-quality software consistently.
