Established in 1988 and family owned, Thomas Foods International (TFI) ranks among Australia's largest food companies. With teams located across Australia, the United States, Canada, China, Japan, and Europe, TFI develops, supplies, and distributes premium meat and seafood products worldwide. Our Mission
Our aim is to nourish families globally by providing superior quality products, outstanding service, and sustainable operational practices.
Role Overview
We are experiencing significant growth and are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Project Manager to spearhead major and intricate technology initiatives. The primary focus will be leading the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) ERP program, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery and operational readiness across numerous sites. Beyond this core program, you will oversee a portfolio of smaller IT projects including system upgrades, integrations, and site deployments at processing facilities.
Based at our Rose Park office and reporting directly to the CIO, the role requires versatility to engage with diverse groups such as executive leadership, finance teams, and plant operations. The successful candidate will bring methodical structure, precise reporting, and exemplary leadership to all projects, demonstrating the ability to influence stakeholders and coordinate vendors, implementation partners, and internal teams toward unified objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Possess formal qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hold recognized project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, or their equivalents.
- Demonstrate substantial IT project management expertise, especially in leading expansive, multi-workstream programs, preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
- Have strong background in ERP implementation projects, with a preference for experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Proven ability to manage third-party implementation partners and suppliers, including contractual and change management.
- Experienced in leading and mentoring project teams and business stakeholders.
- Capability to concurrently manage several smaller projects alongside a major program.
- Exhibit solid skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with formal governance processes including steering committees, stage gating, and risk, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID) management.
- Understanding of data migration, system integration, testing, and cutover planning.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
